All One Tribe by the 1 Tribe Collective
A collective of 24 artists contributed songs to this album. Says co-producer Aaron Nigel Smith, “The 1Tribe Collective and this album are historic. They demonstrate the dreams and hopes of our people. It’s an incredible honor to work with so many voices representing the rich diversity of Black and Brown family music. I love his this music speaks to families today.” Adds co-producer Shawana (“Shine”) Kemp, “This project is a step in the direction of equity for Black family music artists.”
Crayon Kids by Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band
This album of bilingual original songs represents new directions for Lucky Diaz and his Los Angeles-based musical group. Diaz, who with his band have won a Latin GRAMMY for past work, explains, “When we started the Family Jam Band, we wanted to continually evolve. The project has always been about being fun and original. It then turned into a cultural journey for me as a Mexican-American, creating songs that are rooted in my Pocho and Latinx identity.”

Andrés Salguero and Christina Sanabria (who have also won a Latin GRAMMY for their children’s music in past years) said today, “We are completely humbled, particularly because the other nominees are incredible.
